Inca Trail To Machu Picchu 1 Day
During the 1 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, you hike the short Inca Trail and visit Machu Picchu Citadel all in one day. Some of the highlights of this section of the Inca Trail are the ancient archeological Inca ruins, stunning mountain views, lush vegetation and the extraordinary ecological varieties of the several microclimates through which you hike. The trail goes through the Machu Picchu National Sanctuary and enters through the Sun Gate with unforgettable views of Machu Picchu. Upon arriving to Machu Picchu, you will get a private guided tour, visiting all the hidden corners of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
***It is very important for potential trekkers for the 1 Day Inca Trail to understand that you are doing the same trail as the 2 Day Inca Trail, just more quickly. Trekkers need to be in moderate to excellent physical condition to be able to do this trek and arrive at Machu Picchu Citadel in time. If you think the trek may be too strenuous, you may book the 2 day Inca Trail which arrives at Machu Picchu in one day but at a slower pace and later in the day.
Hike the 1 day Inca Trail Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate & explore Machu Picchu right away!
***Please note: It is not possible to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain due to time restraints.
***We do highly recommend to start and finish this trek from Ollantaytambo
***If you choose, you can stay the night in Aguas Calientes, and we will book your return train for the next day.

WHAT ABOUT ALTITUDE SICKNESS?
For some visitors, the first hours in Cusco can be summarized as: shortness of breath, a discomfort in the body, dizziness, headaches, stomachaches, even vomiting. As great connoisseurs of natural medicine, the Incas used coca leaves to counteract soroche, Quechua for high-altitude sickness.
The Veronica View Hotel, and all of the Sacred Valley, are at a lower altitude than Cusco. If you are concerned about the altitude of Cusco, you may want to spend a few days in the Sacred Valley when you first arrive.
If you’re happy with the services provided, a tip – though not compulsory – is appropriate. While it may not be customary in your country, it’s of great significance for the people who will take care of you during the Inca Trail Trek. It inspires them to give excellent service and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many VV Hotel & Tours destinations. Of course you are free to tip more or less as you feel it, depending on your perception of the quality and the length of your trip. Remember, a tip is not compulsory and should only be given when you receive excellent service.
