Chinchero

This beautiful Andean village is famous for its spectacular mountain views, colorful marketplace, traditional textile weaving cooperatives and an ancient church with unique floral and religious interior frescos. Here you can also see well-preserved Inca terraces. Only 30 kms from Cusco, Chinchero is at 3762 m above sea level.

Maras Salt Mines

Maras is we can see the famous and ancient salt mines of the Pre-Inca era. The contrast of the white pools of salt with the green valley is stunning and a must for anyone who want to take spectacular postcard photos of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Moray Terraces

Moray is breathtaking, with colossal concentric terraces that resemble a large amphitheater. Archeologists speculate that the positioning created at least 20 different microclimates, which enabled the Inca to research and improve agricultural production.

To visit the Maras Salt Mines, you will have to pay a separate admission fee of 10 soles.

Do the drivers speak English and are there tour guides?

Our drivers speak Spanish and understand a little English. However, miscommunication is not an issue because they work on your prearranged itinerary. We have a few English speaking drivers and their availability is limited. Drivers can walk the sites with passengers upon request but they aren’t tour guides. Guides are available starting at $70 per day.

Where will the driver meet me at the Cusco airport?

Your driver will be waiting for you at the Cusco airport holding a sign with your name. After collecting your luggage, please walk outside, your driver will be at the exit from the airport.

Can I stop at a Cusco hotel to drop some luggage off before heading to Ollantaytambo?

Definitely, you can stop by your hotel to leave your luggage and then go to Ollantaytambo. Please include this request in the online form text box.

We are 3 passengers with luggage, is a sedan OK?

Yes, it is but only if you have light luggage or backpacks. If you have medium to large luggage then a van is advisable.
